Knowledge for Development

The Knowledge for Development programme attempts to build over 20 Communities of Practice (COPs) by facilitating multistakeholder dialogues among key organisations engaged in achieving the MDGs. Integrating knowledge into ongoing development practices, OWSA attempts to facilitate sharing and learning among these communities through both online and face-to-face interactions with a view to taking collective action for pro-poor policy changes.
OneWorld South Asia Portal
The regional edition of OneWorld.net amplifies grassroots voices by disseminating information on development issues gleaned from partner NGOs across South Asia. The portal operates as a knowledge resource featuring news, views and analyses related to the themes on the MDGs. Besides, OneWorld.net actively contributes content to the UN Millennium Campaign, which aims to raise awareness and build political will for the achievement of the MDGs.
Digital Opportunity Channel
The Digital Opportunity Channel, a global product emanating from OWSA, is engaged in launching several interactive platforms for advocating ICT policy changes aimed at reducing poverty. Digital Opportunity Channel is a joint endeavour of OneWorld and the Digital Divide Network. By joining hands, the two organisations seek to bring in a global perspective to the discussion over ICTs and the digital divide.
Mainstreaming ICTs
The basic aim behind OWSA's bi-monthly publication Mainstreaming ICTs is to create a platform for critical debate on the role, scope and experience of mainstreaming ICTs in development interventions. It also seeks to address the concerns of policy-makers, government and non-government agencies and donors who are sceptical of ICTs as tools for enhancing human development. More
