The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) seeks international cooperation to protect listed wildlife species from threats of over-exploitation, which includes their trade. Nepal and India as signatories and parties to CITES have international obligations to control the trade of products made from any type of wildlife that is protected or endangered. The book is an outcome of legal and policy research work that has been carried out in this field. Interested readers can find an in-depth analysis of the CITES implementation status in Nepal and India. The book also makes suggestions for required policy changes, rather than offering only a simple critique.
