The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has signed an MoU with the Bangladesh government, agreeing to provide US$ 2.3 million assistance for facilitating Support to ICT Task Force (SICT) programme initiatives of the Planning Division.

The support will further strengthen government's plan of enhancing its e-governance activities through linking key policy-making and monitoring institutions.

Major activities to be undertaken as part of the SICT include building strategic interconnectivity among government institutions, integrated electronic services for facilitating e-governance and capacity building or training of the government staff.
