SMILE Foundation, India is launching a special initiative on 7th of March 2006, a prelude to International Women’s Day, wherein girls from 30 communities/ NGOs from across Delhi and NCR would come together on a common platform. For this SMILE would be arranging a series of workshops with experts in related fields. Making it an occasion to celebrate and liberate the budding women within them by giving them the gift of confidence poise and personality.

This workshop is divided into five main sessions- each, for about 45 minutes, followed by a 15 minutes interactive session.

The underlying theme of the workshop is to make the participants (girls and women alike) to draw aspirations from our very own Kalpana Chawla, a small town girl, who rose to become a legend, nick-named as space woman!

The workshop therefore seeks to trigger some thought provoking among participants as well as provide inspirations- boosting their morale and confidence.

We would appreciate your participation in this program and nominate girls (13 – 24yrs) along with / officers/ supervisors who could take the message forward in their respective communities. Upto 10 participants per organization are permissible.

In case of multiple communities the no. of participants would be relaxed. Kindly confirm at the earliest along with the details of the participants (name, age), as lunch has to be arranged.

Contact Sapna Kulshrestha for more information.
