Indian hill state makes rainwater harvesting obligatory

Kartar Jaiswal, Executive Officer, local municipal council announced that all buildings within the municipal limits and nagar panchayat should, while constructing buildings, add 20 litres per square metre rooftop area capacity for a rainwater harvesting structure, which can be used for non-domestic puroses. Plans for the construction of buildings without a rainwater harvesting plan would not be accepted. SOURCE: Sanctuary Asia
