Awareness campaign on HIV/AIDS in north eastern state of India

To meet the challenges of the increasing number of HIV/AIDS cases in Manipur, the Congress has started a campaign to create awareness among the people.

The Manipur State AIDS Control Society, in collaboration with the Media Department of the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee, organised a day-long deliberations on the issue .

The Congress workers resolved that they would participate in the action plan of the Congress party to fight against the dreaded disease.

It resolved that the Manipur government should urge to persue the programmes under the Manipur State AIDS Policy more vigorously by way of constituting the Legislative Forum for HIV/AIDS etc.
