Nepalese youth launch campaign on MDGs

Youth Action Nepal is organising a rally and a concert at New Baneshwar in Nepal on July 2, 2007 for making governments accountable to people and achieving the MDGs.

All the global governments have committed to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by the year 2015 AD. Since we are at the half of the time, the governments are still passive to their commitments and a number of people around the globe are loosing their lives just because of Hunger.

Therefore, we the youths are taking it as a serious matter to be considered by everyone. Hence forth we have thought to take these issues by accepting the non-violent means of protest. So, we the youths have introduced the concept of concert, candling, human chain, art projects, signature campaigns, rally and the like before everyone.

Your gracious presence at the Maitighar Mandala would make us more enthusiastic to perform the rally and we would accept it as the global solidarity for the HungerFREE campaign which is going to be held in 10 countries in the world including Nepal.

Join the concert after the rally which is solely hosted by the ever popular Nepalese Band NEPHTHYA.
