Workshop on fundraising

Over the last decade, civil society organisations have grown at a rapid pace to meet society’s needs. However, most of them are still financially weak and lack skills and professional training in how to garner support.
In this regard, South Asian Fund Raising Group (SAFRG), a Delhi based trust is organising its 19th International South Asian Fundraising Workshop from August 23-26, 2008 in Agra, India. The theme of the workshop is “Building Relationships for Sustainability-3”. SAFRG is a registered trust working to build the capacity of the voluntary sector to mobilise funds and resources for their respective causes. Leaders and fundraisers from over 350 non-profit organisations from all over Asia and beyond will attend and learn how to increase support for the causes they represent. SAFRG believes that only systematic and quality information sharing and training for staff can bring in adequate funds, for all-round development and ultimately success of NGOs. There will be five Master Classes, by experts on the subjects, on August 23, where in CEOs, fundraising directors and senior fundraisers will get a good insight into some of the major challenges and solutions. Who should attend? • CEOs, Trustees and Board Members • Executive Directors • Directors of Fundraising/Communications/Development • Representatives of Hospitals, Universities • Private/Public Schools/Institutions • Representatives of Foundations/Trusts and Funding organisations • Fundraisers and Volunteers Registration fee Rs. 18,000 per participant for four day workshop including Master Classes and Rs. 16,000 per participant for three day workshop.
