Global convention on climate change

Climate change is the biggest challenge of our times. It is also an opportunity to transform the business and use the power of technology to innovate products and services that create wealth and enhance the human experience on this planet without cluttering it with proliferation of products.

World Environment Foundation in association with World Council for Corporate Governance is organising Global convention on climate Change from May 30-June 1, 2008 at S M Convention Centre, Palampur (HP), India.

The theme of the Convention is ‘Delivering a Holistic Response to Climate Change’.

The Convention will be the biggest networking opportunity and an unparalleled platform to share ideas on how companies can reduce their carbon footprint and improve climate security.

It will be addressed by eminent climate change experts, business leaders, policy makers, legislators, jurists and academics from 25 countries. Participants would learn how businesses can turn the impending disaster to a business opportunity, how new wealth can be created by greening the operations and how climate change agenda can be used to alleviate poverty and build corporate brands.

The prestigious Golden Peacock Awards for Environment Management will also be presented at the Convention. These awards cover – Environment Management System, Occupational Health & Safety and Eco-innovation.

The Convention has several opportunities to build company profiles and enhance visibility. ENVIROMART, showcasing renewable technologies and Eco-investors Forum encompassing Bio Fuel Bazar and Carbon Trading market will be the special highlight of the conference.

The last date for receipt of application is April 30, 2008.
