Climate change conference
Centre for Environment Education and Technology invites papers for its international conference on climate change and developing countries from February 19-22, 2010 in Kottayam, Kerala, India. The deadline for submitting entries and registration is November 30, 2009.
The first major international conference on climate change to be held in the southern part of India will focus on advances in scientific research, low carbon technologies, atmospheric phenomena which are relevant in developing countries, impacts (on land, sea and air) and mitigation, socio-economic impacts in developing countries, and climate change policies.
It is mainly aimed at popularizing various concerns related to climate change.
The conference from February 19-22, 2010 is organized by the Centre for Environment Education and Technology (CEET), Kottayam, Kerala, India, in Association with The School of Environmental Sciences, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala, India and The Centre for Rural Management, Kottayam, Kerala, India.

- Fourth IPPCC Working Committee Report (2007) and its analysis;
- Post Copenhagen scenario;
- Impacts of climate change on land, sea and air, and its mitigation;
- Impact of climate change on Human Health;
- Recent advances in scientific research on climate change;
- Technological development in the mitigation process;
- Low carbon technologies;
- Atmospheric phenomena relevant to Developing countries;
- Trade and Climate Change;
- Socio-economic impacts in Developing Countries;
- Climate change policies relevant to Developing Countries.

Call for papers/ abstracts:
The event will feature plenary lectures, invited lectures, short presentations (no separate poster session is organized). A one page abstract of the respective presentations are requested.
Participants who wish only to attend the conference without any paper contribution, may specifically mention this in their contact letter.
Guidelines:
- Abstracts can be submitted by mail or e-mail.
- The size limit of the text is one page (A4 size: printing area 6" x 9") including the title, names, affiliation and graphics regardless of the method of abstract submission. Underline the name of the person who will present the work.
- Preferred formats are MS Word for the text and JPEG or GIF for the graphic materials.
- Draw® (ACS format, reduce to 80%) for drawing chemical structures. Include a soft copy on disc along with abstracts sent by post.
Deadline:
Prepare abstracts according to the guidelines and send them to the convener no later than November 30, 2009.
