Map India 2010

GIS Development will host the 13th annual international conference and exhibition on geospatial information technology and applications from January 19-21, 2010 at Epicentre, Gurgaon, India. The deadline for submitting abstracts is November 20, 2009.

Map India 2010 on geospatial information technology and applications will be based on a visionary theme - 'Defining Geospatial Vision for India'.

Through this conference the future direction that geospatial technologies can provide to the various vertical in the country will be highlighted. Vision of Map India is to mandate itself to work towards making a significant and effective contribution towards meeting the developmental challenges of the nation.

The structure of the conference has been so designed to offer greater variety to the participants.

The biggest challenge facing today is to bring all related parties together to agree on a set of policies and standards. Another challenge is to bring data supplier communities together to reduce duplication in data collection.

The need for connecting the staggered efforts of the Geospatial communities in different regions will also be highlighted. The session will deliberate on Land Information System, Surface Transportation, Urban Development and Electricity.

Abstracts are invited for the seminars, symposiums and technical sessions.

Guidelines:

  • The abstract submitted should not exceed 250 words;
  • The submitted abstract should be an original draft, one which has not been published before;
  • Upon evaluation of abstracts, selected authors will be invited to send in their full papers.
