Skoch Summit 2009

Skoch Consultancy Services invites papers for its annual leadership summit to be held in New Delhi on January 22-23, 2009. The conference will focus on the challenges and responses in areas of governance, disaster management and service delivery. The deadline for submitting abstract is December 25, 2008.

Taking forward the theme: “India: Challenges and Policy Response”, the 19th Skoch Annual Leadership Summit and Exhibition will take place at India Habitat Center in New Delhi on January 22-23, 2009.

The Summit will bring together policy makers, practitioners, eminent experts, civil society representatives and industry.

The two-day conference will focus on the challenges faced by India in the areas of governance, disaster management, service delivery, education, and healthcare among others and bring out recommendations for appropriate policy responses to mitigate these challenges.

Deliberations will be carried out through national consultations, round tables and research meetings. Key areas identified for deliberations include but are not limited to:

  • Security: A Technology Response to Terror
  • Economy: Meltdown and Policies
  • Disaster Management: Services for the Next Decade
    Threats: Is Cyber-Infrastructure up to it?
  • Focus: Gearing up Power Sector
  • National Consultation: Intellectual Property Rights and Development
