Development Alternatives, an Indian NGO working to create sustainable livelihoods, is organising a training programme on Organisation Development from February 12-14 at TARAgram in Madhya Pradesh. The course aims to equip the civil society organisations with necessary skills for social action.

With mankind experiencing changes like never before, it is important to voice the voiceless and ensure that they are not left out in this process of change. However, is the civil society sector geared up for addressing these challenges? For newer challenges, we need to adopt new approaches.

Development Alternatives, a non-profit organisation working to create sustainable livelihoods, is organising a training programme Organisation Development: A programme on Managing Change from February 12-14, 2008 at TARAgram, Appropriate Technology Centre, Orchha, Madhya Pradesh.

Organisational Development (OD) talks about managing change. This programme has been designed to facilitate the social entrepreneurs to identify problems in the existing architecture of their organisations and deal with external changes.

The course is also beneficial for government officials and international development organisations who are interested in knowing the organisational development process within NGOs.

Methodology

The programme module would comprise of case studies and reflections of the participants. Focus would be on interactive group learning aimed at knowledge development and skill upgradation.

The 3-day training will consist of class room sessions, a guided tour to the development models within TARAgram campus, an outing to the Orchha temples and fort.

Fees

The programme fee is INR 10,000 per participant for Indian participants and INR 18,000 (450 USD) for overseas participants.

Last date for sending nomination forms and the course fee non-refundable) is February 4, 2008.

Confirmation will be made after the payment and seats are reserved on First Come First Serve basis.
