WasteSafe 2009 (Khulna, Bangladesh, from 09 November 2009 to 10 November 2009)
Bangladesh based Khulna University of Engineering and Technology is organising a two-day international conference on solid waste management from November 9, 2009 at its campus. Participants will discuss appropriate techniques and plans for effective management of waste. The deadline for sending abstracts is January 31, 2009.
Cartoon contest on climate change (New Delhi, from 08 November 2009 to 30 November 2009)
British Council, in partnership with the Ken Sprague Fund UK, announces a cartoon contest to sensitise and bring better awareness about climate change. The deadline for submitting entries is November 30, 2009.
International green film festival (New Delhi, India, from 27 October 2009 to 31 October 2009)
CMS VATAVARAN is organising the 5th film festival on environment and wildlife. Sustainable technologies is the theme chosen for this year. Deadline for sending early entries is August 30, 2009.
Stand Up Take Action 2009 (, from 16 October 2009 to 18 October 2009)
For fourth year in a row, the UN Millennium Campaign is organising the global Stand Up Take Action event from October 16-18, 2009. The movement mobilised 116 million people last year in support of the MDGs.

Cleantech Forum XXIV, to be held in New Delhi from October 15-16, 2009, will provide opportunities to learn and develop cutting-edge clean technologies in India. It will allow key stakeholders to find innovative solutions.
