Celebrate human rights through art (New Delhi, india, from 05 December 2008 to 10 December 2008)
To mark the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Amnesty International India is organising a week of justice festival from December 5-10, 2008 at New Delhi. The event attempts to raise awareness among youth on dignity related issues through the medium of art.

Delhi based Sambodhi, a leading research, training and consultancy organisation is conducting a workshop on Media Advocacy for Developmental Initiatives from December 3-5, 2008 at the Indian capital. The programme will focus on strategic use of media for advancing social policy.

Delhi based Society for Participatory Research in Asia is organising a workshop on engendering workplace from November 27-28, 2008. The two-day orientation programme is aimed at promoting a gender-sensitive and secure work environment. The deadline for sending nominations is November 20, 2008.
Ethnographic film festival (New Delhi, India, from 26 November 2008 to 30 November 2008)
Department of Sociology, University of Delhi, will hold an international ethnographic film festival from November 26-30, 2008 in the Indian capital. The festival will also provide a context for discussions on the emergence of visual anthropology and sociology as disciplines.

Delhi based e-Health-Care Foundation is inviting applications for three-month certificate course in medical informatics, which will enable general practitioners in India to be abreast of the latest advances in medical science. The last date for submitting application is November 25, 2008.

World Congress on Disaster Management (Hyderabad,India, from 21 October 2008 to 24 October 2008)
The first ever World Congress on Disaster Management will be held in Hyderabad, India from October 21 to 24, 2008. Organised by the Disaster Management, Infrastructure and Control Society, it aims to develop a holistic approach towards mitigation of increasing disasters, from natural and climate-related to industrial, nuclear and terror-related ones.
