Mainstreaming gender in water issues (Mumbai, India, from 20 October 2008 to 24 October 2008)
Mumbai based Tata Institute of Social Sciences is organising a training programme on gender, water and equity from October 20-24, 2008 in the western Indian city. The programme seeks to examine gender concerns in water resources management and the need to integrate women in policy planning.
National Awards on e-Governance (Goa, India, from 03 October 2008 to 25 October 2008)
The 12th National Conference on e-Governance is scheduled to be held in Goa, India. As part of the conference the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances is calling for nominations for awards under seven different categories by October 25, 2008.

Jaipur based Institute of Health Management Research is organising a training programme on Planning and Managing Health Communication from September 15-20, 2008 in this western Indian city. Annual health camp for the poor (Bhilwara, Rajasthan, India, from 07 September 2008 to 17 September 2008)

The idea is to link activists and academics to shape future social research on the theme.
Traitor: A play (New Delhi, India, from 08 August 2008 to 08 August 2008)
Written and directed by Tripurari Sharma, “Traitor” is a play that looks back at the 1857 war for Indian Independence. The play produced by Hungry Hearts Festival and supported by the South Asian Network of Gender Activists and Trainers (SANGAT) will be enacted on August 8 in New Delhi.
Workshop on filmmaking (Pune, India, from 28 July 2008 to 13 August 2008)
Pune based Open Space, a civil society outreach initiative of the Centre for Communication and Development Studies invites participants to a two-week filmmaking workshop. The idea is to encourage citizens in the use of digital media while engaging with social and development issues.
