Forging firm resistance has become indispensable to stop violence against women and girls instead of relying on the scattered and sporadic movement, speakers said at a press conference, organised by Bangladesh Legal Aid and Services Trust (BLAST).

Forging firm resistance has become indispensable to stop violence against women and girls instead of relying on the scattered and sporadic movement, speakers at a press conference said. They said the mass people should be motivated and encouraged towards forging social movement to attain desired result. Local unit of Bangladesh Legal Aid and Services Trust (BLAST) organised the press conference at the conference hall of General Public Library marking the 15th anniversary of World V- Day. BLAST local unit coordinator Advocate Abdus Samad readout the written statement at the press conference narrating background of the V-Day promulgation. He also gave an overview of V-Day's global scenario. He said V-Day is a global activist movement to end violence against women and girls. It's a catalyst that promotes creative events to increase awareness, raise money, and revitalise the spirit of existing anti-violence organisations.
