Game changing Eco technologies

Aug 14, 2014

Cutting-edge technologies are conserving our resources and reducing our ecological footprint. TERI has developed some technologies that are making waves around the world.

Revolutionary solutions for complex developmental and environmental problems don't come easy. Yet the role of technologies has often been understated. For the past 20 years, The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) has been working consciously to develop a bank of cutting-edge technologies that are environment-friendly, consume less natural resources and, more importantly, are people-oriented.

Most of these indigenously developed technologies have won patents for their ability to covert latest scientific knowledge into game-changing innovations.

TERI technologies have made several breakthroughs in various fields, and have the potential to revolutionize many sectors, either from degradation or to enhance capacities.

These technologies are diverse in nature - from the effective use of mechanical and chemical engineering techniques in developing biomass gasifiers for various applications to sophisticated research in microbial biotechnology for remediation of oil spills - these technologies are not just laboratory specimens, but have been already been used by people, industries and governments, and have produced stunning results.

Such innovations have not just made significant contribution to ecological conservation and resource efficiency, but have provided new opportunities for the poor.
