Communication and Outreach Coordinator

Wada Na Todo Abhiyan is one of the largest campaigns for governance accountability in India. We are currently looking to recruit a Communication and Outreach Co-ordinator for the Secretariat in New Delhi.

Job Responsibilities

• Website management:  timely collection of campaign activities both at National and state level and regular update of the same in the website
• Publications: Preparation and regular dissemination of the newsletter, reports, campaign materials, etc.
• Media engagement: Write press releases and communicate with the media (print, electronic and new/alternative), maintain and broaden engagement with media at the national and regional level.
• Radio programme: Content development, script writing and identifying resource persons/speakers for the ongoing radio programme of the campaign
• Supporting research and advocacy: Independently coordinating advocacy research processes, bringing out publications and working closely with the advocacy team for appropriate dissemination of the research
• Publicity and promotion: Promoting the cause of the campaign to various stakeholders.
• Outreach: Build an active network with youth, schools, colleges, other various other stakeholders

Qualifications

• Masters degree in any field of knowledge (preferably Mass Communication)
• Basic qualification in web designing and software management (a flare for Linux based programmes) is preferred.

Key skills

• Proficiency in English and Hindi, both oral and written
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the above areas.
• Ability to work in a team and meet the deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal and people skills
• Proven record of analytical and written skills
• Computer skills  HTML, FLASH and other software skills required for website management
