Corporates need handholding by NGOs for CSR works: Bhardwaj

This episode of Ek Duniya Ek Awaz, talks about Corporate Social Responsibility and the role of NGOs. Vishal Bhardwaj, Assistant Executive Director, Dalmia Bharat Group, believes that the new Companies Act will bring synergy between the corporate sector and the civil society for meaningful social and developmental activities. Bhardwaj said that NGOs have played an important role in the developmental activities and many of their programmes have been replicated by the Indian government on a large scale. Bhardwaj said that the new CSR guidelines will bring more opportunities and challenges for the corporate world. NGOs with their rich experience can provide crucial handholding support to the corporate entities and help them in carrying out CSR works, he added.
