Chetanalaya invites applications for Project Officer in Delhi. Last date to receive applications: November 24, 2014.

Chetanalaya is a registered NGO working in Delhi and Haryana. The organization is working with rag-picking communities where the community members are capacitated to engage themselves in profitable enterprises for their livelihood, besides several other rights based development initiatives. Currently there are vacancies for the following three positions in its rag-pickers development programme in Delhi

Marketing Officer:

Key roles/responsibilities:
• Developing marketing strategies for the products
• Marketing research and sales forecast
• Selling the products made by all enterprises
• Liasoning with the potential buyers
• Delivering the products as per deadlines
• Networking effectively to find potential clients for the products
• Supervising and guiding the manufacturing of products
• Marketing support and training for all enterprises
• Capacitating the community in the field of marketing
• Carrying out any other duties that are within the scope of this position as may be required by the program and assigned by the Project Coordinator

Essential Requirements:
• Post graduate/MBA in marketing
• Minimum 2 years work experience in similar post
• Preferably experience in advertising and marketing
• Good presentation and communication skills
• Technical knowledge on computer and other MS application
• Well-versed on the current market trends

Program Officer– Education & Child Rights
Key roles/responsibilities:
• Education programme planning and implementation
• Supervising Children’s Parliament program and educational classes
• Regular monitoring of all the education related activities
• Conducting motivational session with children and teachers
• Interacting with the children in the community
• Supervising teachers, check their records and provide them training as and when required
• Conducting capacity building programmes and campaigns on education related issues
• Preparing monthly reports
• Carrying out any other duties that are within the scope of this position as may be required by the program and assigned by the Project Coordinator

Essential Requirements:
• Post graduates preferably Master in Social Work
• Minimum 2 years work experience in similar post
• Good presentation and communication skills
• Technical knowledge on computer and other MS application
• Well-versed on the education, child rights and related issues

Program Officer– Self Help Groups(SHGs)
Key roles/responsibilities:
• Promoting self reliant Self help groups
• Ensuring the sustainability of Self help groups
• Monitoring the Self help group staff
• Providing the support in managing SHG
• Supervising the accounts maintained by SHGs
• Conducting the capacity building program for SHG women
• Organizing campaigns and advocacy on social development issues through SHGs
• Motivating the SHG group to start an enterprise through proper training
• Preparing monthly reports
• Carrying out any other duties that are within the scope of this position as may be required by the program and assigned by the Project Coordinator

Essential Requirements:
• Post graduates preferably Master in Social Work
• Minimum 2 years work experience in similar post
• Good presentation and communication skills
• Technical knowledge on computer and other MS application
• Well versed on SHGs, micro finance and livelihood related issues
