A National Consultation on Institutionalizing Convergence for Effective and Inclusive Governance is being organized bringing together representatives from government (Centre and State) civil society and community organization, academia and experts to deliberate on the different dimensions of institutionalizing convergence; share experience and build consensus on tools and mechanisms.

The National Forum for Action on Convergence (NFAC), is hosting the Consultation. NFAC is a national platform comprises of experts, serving and retired civil servants and civil society organizations from across the different states. NFAC emerged out of initiatives that are striving to leverage convergence as an approach to strengthen social inclusion and bridge the gap between the providers and users at multiple levels

 

Highlights: At the inaugural session, the keynote address will be delivered by Suresh Prabhu, Minister of Railways (10.30-12.20)  experts will present the framework of Family Development and Family Vulnerability Index (14.30- 15.30); Senior Officials and Civil Society leaders (12.30-14.00) will share their insights on the work ability of convergence and its relevance for thematic, programmatic and systemic integration
