Aparna Ramalingam

aparna_ramalingam.jpgA senior business journalist having over 15 years in the print media, Aparna Ramalingam’s last assignment was as Assistant Editor, The Times of India.  She covered the BFSI (banking, finance, non- banking and micro finance) space for eight years, from 2008 to 2016.

Aparna has worked in New Delhi during the early part of her career. From 2000 to 2007, she worked in various capacities in leading publications including Business Today (of the India Today Group), The Financial Express (part of the Indian Express Group) and The Times of India.

Starting her career as a correspondent-cum-sub editor, Aparna moved up to become Assistant Editor at The Times of India in Chennai. Aparna is currently doing commissioned and free lance articles for publications that include Sunday Herald (of Deccan Herald, Bangalore). She is also writing a book on the life and times of a famous surgeon in Chennai. Aparna is also engaged with strategic communication work for AIM for Seva, an NGO, which runs the Free Student Hostels (FSHs) initiative. These FSHs are located near a school and provide after school and academic support and materials, tuitions, music, yoga and sports education to children free of cost.
