DLF5 celebrates Womanhood with a plethora of activities for women

The activities included panel discussion and a full day of sessions by women residents as well as a farmer’s market wowed the audience and visitors

Gurugram: In an endeavor to laud womanhood, DLF5 honored women from diverse fields to mark International Women’s Day at Horizon Plaza and DLF Club5. The two-day event which provided a platform for the exchange of ideas amongst women witnessed an overwhelming response from the audience.

The panel discussions included two sessions; the first session comprised engaging conversation on the theme ‘Striking the Balance’ with renowned women authors- Shobhaa De, Miniya Chatterji, Manjeet Hirani joined Milee Ashwarya, CEO Penguin Random House on the panel at Horizon Plaza. It was followed by a discussion with eminent personalities from F&B Industry. The event then smoothly transitioned to a live band performance by seven and a half who mesmerized the audience with their soulful tunes.

Day two at DLF Club 5 was packed with sessions on nutrition and wellness, financial independence and much more. A major highlight of the day was organic cooking by Tijara farm. The day also witnessed a workshop on Self Defence by women Police of Haryana. A documentary titled ‘Saints of Sin’– a lyrical journey documenting the emotions and experiences of women by Momspresso was also screened on the occasion. The day concluded with a live band performance enjoyed by one and all.

“It was an honor for us to have the distinguished panelists in our midst talk about their profound experiences. I am certain that the audience must have truly benefitted from the enriching sessions by these women of substance in both these events,’” said Aakash Ohri, Senior Executive Director, DLF5.

“I would like to thank DLF5 for commemorating International Women’s Day with such engaging discussions. Learned about so many aspects of one’s day to day be it wellness, financial solutions etc. The event truly celebrated the spirit of womanhood with interesting topics,” said Smita Mishra, a resident of DLF5.

Celebrated on March 8 every year, International Women’s Day, the occasion commemorates the movement for women’s rights.
