The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) launched India's first Eco-label - The Green Signal – to certify environmental preferences adopted during the manufacturing of a product or service delivery.

“GreenNGood.com is really excited to be India’s first Online Retail Store to receive the Eco Label. Being the first in the country to get the ecolabel certification is a delightful achievement for us. The Ecolabel is a key tool for consumers to make the smarter and better choice. It will also help consumers differentiate between companies that just preach about going green to make a quick buck and companies that actually practice environmental responsibility. The Green Signal ecolabel is a great opportunity for triple bottom-line business like us who take action every day to do business responsibly!” said Aparna Bhatnagar, Co-Founder GreenNGood.com.

Vivek Gilani, Co-founder and Member Secretary of the Steering Committee of the Green Signal said, “The act of granting the first Greensignal ecolabel in India to these two sustainability leadership enterprises in India - CGH Earth Hotels and GreenNGood.com is in my mind the first assertive and visible action to make sure that genuine environmental best-practice organizations in India beat the 'greenwashers' in the race for capturing the consciousness of the conscious consumers of India - and do it not through words, but through the transparency of numbers and data disclosure. These SME organizations have voluntary disclosed their environmental impact, carbon emissions, and quantified their conservation practices with meticulous detail in a manner that is scarce in the Indian context. They've gone beyond the lure of 'Carbon Credits' and looked to catalyze change in themselves and in their respective industries through the only genuine method of mitigating climate change - domestic action to become resource, energy and carbon efficient".

Eco-labeling on products/services provides consumers with more informed choices. The purpose of Eco Label is to help both conscious consumers and progressive sellers. Applicants for the Eco-Label certificate go through stringent process.

GreenNGood.com offers a range of products like eco-friendly products like organic personal care, organic food, health supplements, recycled material bags, Organic cotton clothes, jewellery and home decor  It has stringent filter criteria following international norms to decide if the product is ecofriendly or not. Products are evaluated across their lifecycle for impact and only products that are significantly greener than alternatives are hosted on the site.
