Tata Steel bags corporate leadership award

HM Nerurkar, Managing Director, Tata Steel, was felicitated with the Maxell Foundation & Maharashtra Corporate Excellence Award, for his outstanding leadership qualities that made his company grow in a sustainable way.

The award was presented to HM Nerukar by the Chief minister of Maharashtra, Prithviraj Chavan, at an event in Mumbai on May 6, 2012. This award has been instituted for the first time.


Maxell communicate has stated, “Being the Managing Director of the Flagship Tata Group Company, Nerurkar, has exemplified outstanding leadership qualities and shaped up the company for taking any challenges in future and also seen a sustainable growth which can be expressed in monetary terms. Maxell Foundation salutes such outstanding personality – Hemant Nerurkar.”

After being felicitated with an award, Nerurkar said, “Maharashtra has always been number 1 in industrial growth. I hope we continue to remain so. We have three plants in Maharashtra and the Founder entrepreneur’s dreams were envisioned in the city of Mumbai.”
