The principal office of Deepti Bhuban is located in Nawabgonj Thana under Dinajpur District. (nearly 400 km away from the capital city of Dhaka). It’s a drought prone area and is also affected by flood quite often. Deepti Bhuban believes in the participation of people for any development effort. It involves the programme partners at grassroot level in its development initiatives. It undertakes activities for sustainable development in rural areas and capacity building initiatives for the programme partners. It’s also involved in the area of policy advocacy while dealing with the local level problems such as environment and sustainable resource management as well as gender issues. It intends to undertake more systematic advocacy initiatives for favourable policy environment in the civil society.

Deepalaya is a leading non-governmental organization based in New Delhi, engaged in providing education to underprivileged children. It works towards integrated development of urban and rural communities, through education with a special focus on mainstreaming gender and social equity issues in its programmes. Started in 1979, Deepalaya today is the largest operational NGO in Delhi reaching out to over 50,000 children, 132 slums and resettlement colonies and close to 95 villages. Deepalaya truly believes that every child deserves a chance, a chance for equal opportunities, a chance to be empowered, make informed choices, resist oppression and expand their opportunities to realise their full potential, through the power of education.
