The National Centre for Agricultural Economics and Policy Research (NCAP) has been established during 1991 by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) with a view to strengthening agricultural economics research through integration of economic input in planning, designing, and evaluation of agricultural research programs and enhancing the competence in agricultural policy analysis within the National Agricultural Research System. The centre undertakes and sponsors research in agricultural economics and policy analysis in technology policy, sustainable agriculture, market and trade.

Nandakumarpur Joykrishnapur Milan Sangha, a district level Child Development NGO, Though their initial activities were confined to organizing games and sports, and cultural activities, over the years the organization developed into a nodal agency of child and community development initiative through sustainable approach. At present the organization supports more than 75000 poor children spreading all over the Sundarbans in the District of South24 Parganas, West Bengal. Today the organization is involved in multifarious activities including immunization, sanitation, population control, nutrition, early childhood development, basic education, economic development, disaster preparedness and management, capacity building etc. Recently this organization has started to use the "Information Communication and Technologies" as one of the important tools for development.
