UN report on Post-2015 agenda: Civil Society's response

Jul 01, 2013

This document highlights a detailed Civil Society Position / Response to the UN High Level Panel Report on the Post-2015 Development Agenda (that will guide the agenda for development once MDGs in their present form will expire in 2015).

The Civil Society’s response to the UN report has been endorsed by 26 national organisations and national networks and campaigns.

While the civil society has commended the Panel for their efforts to reach out to a diverse set of stakeholders and make the process participatory, it has raised some serious concerns around the fundamentals of the report.

“ At a glance, the huge shift as the Report states is of “partnership”, i.e. of turning to the private sector as well civil society “within market principles”, making us quite worried and wary,” the civil society states in the document called ‘Civil Society Response from India to the UN High Level Panel Report on Post-2015 Development Agenda.’
