It is a step by step manual on HIV care for children, understanding the difference on how HIV develops in children, in difference to the adults. It also provides insight into the monitoring process by undertaking physical examinations to check on the health and the development, monitoring body temperature, regular blood tests, explaining children what is happening to their body making the experience less frightening, on vaccines , essentiality of good dental care for HIV-positive children.

The manual also provides details on when to start the treatment, the age, circumstances availability of formulations and other factors. Also a section is dedicated to the side-effects of the drugs used to treat HIV.
