Minister assures support to beleaguered NGOs
Aug 21, 2012 Minister for Information and Broadcasting Ambika Soni assured the Indian non profit sector of help regarding the delisting of over 4,000 NGOs by the government. Speaking at the India NGO Awards, Soni said: “I was extremely sorry to know that these NGOs were delisted. I will help you find out why they were delisted. You can also use the Right to Information (RTI) route. The RTI too was an outcome of the efforts of the civil society.”
