Natural resources like water, air, forests and mountains are considered as global commons but today such commons are facing serious man-made challenges. Dr. R.K. Pachauri, Director-General of The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) speaks to OneWorld and explains the meaning of term 'global commons' and the significance of protecting them. "The air that we breathe is the commons. It is something that does not belong to anybody but has deep effect on everybody’s existence", says Dr. Pachauri. He also shares his expectations from Delhi Sustainable Development Summit 2012 which will be held in Indian capital New Delhi between 2-4 February 2012.
