Support Japan Quake Victims

On March 13, 2011, a magnitude 9.0 earthquake struck off the coast of northeast Japan, setting off a gigantic 23-feet tsunami that swept away cars, trucks, houses, ships and buildings. Over 20,000 people are missing, and thousands dead.

You can make donations to the following organizations working for relief activities in Japan.


1.  The Institute of Cultural Affairs Japan

The ICA is a private, non-profit organization that works N-partnership with local ICA staff in developing countries to focus on human development projects that emphasize basic human needs and protect  the natural environment.

2. The Nippon Foundation

The Nippon Foundation is a non-profit philanthropic organization, active both in Japan and abroad, and has extensive experience working with local partners to provide support after disasters.

To contribute to the Northeastern Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund, click here

3. Japan Platform

JPF is an international emergency humanitarian aid organization made up of a consortium of 32 Japanese NGOs, the business community, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.
